Here for your child.
Here for you.
I understand that seeking therapy for yourself or, especially, for your child, is both an act of love and a leap of faith. I am happy to give you any information that will help you take the right next step for yourself and your family.
I am a clinical and developmental psychologist. That means I integrate two different, complimentary fields of psychological science to help me more fully understand and effectively support children and their families. Knowing typical patterns for how children’s thinking, communication and coping skills evolve as they grow helps me meet children where they are, learn their “language,” and start to think and feel alongside them. This genuine, respectful connection is the foundation for the healing and growth we hope to achieve in therapy.
My approach to therapy is flexible, developmentally sensitive, and integrative. I use principles and strategies from many evidence-based treatment modalities: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), play therapy, parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and attachment-based family therapy (ABFT), among others (see below). I tailor treatment to the needs of each child and family, so that I can help children better navigate their unique inner and outer worlds and parents know how to help.
